Replacing a door sweep

I have a very heavy metal front door that needs a new door sweep. The only identification on the door is EMTEK located on the deadbolt assembly. I have ordered a replacement part that looks like it matches the broken door sweep. However, as noted in the photo, the original part is shredding and the piece that holds it in the door has broken off in the channel. Is there a way to get it out without removing the door?

Looking at your photos, I don't believe there's a way to remove the old sweep without taking your door off the hinges first. Yours appears to use kerfs to install, which are ribbed strips that push into a slot. To remove, you need to pull them out, and there's a good chance you won't have the clearance to do that as long as the door is installed.
