Replacing balancers and sash guides on Milgard single hung windows.

Home Owner from Colorado
I have several sizes of windows that need replacement of these items. The windows are manufactured by milgard. They are about 15 years old.

I have included pictures that tried to capture everything due to the upload limits. But let me know if you need anything else to identify.

Measurements:
channel length: 31.5 inches; Channel width: 1/2 inch

guide: height: 1.5 inches; width: 5/8 inch

Thanks for posting! I've just forwarded over a separate link with a quote for (2) custom balances (per each balance type) as there is an order minimum of (2) balances per custom balance. Please let me know if you need a higher quantity of balances and I'll be happy to update the quote for you.

You'll be able to use this link to review the pricing of these balances and to place them in your online cart to make your purchase. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder for the link if you do not find it in your primary inbox.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hello,

What is the difference between lower and higher quality balancers? And what is the price difference?

Thank you,

The extended travel channel balances aren't a higher quality balance, they are just a different type of balance system.

Some notable differences are the placement of the wheel and the length of the balance. The standard balances do not have a wheel in the shoe like your shoes do. Regarding the length, these balances are made in a 31-5/8" increment, the standard balances are made in whole number increments. Therefore, it wouldn't provide enough travel distance for the window to continue functioning properly.

I hope this helps!
