Replacing factory casement cranks with flush or nesting type.

Handy Person from Brookston, IN

Hello, I'm looking to replace my casement window handles and covers if needed to a slimmer profile. I'm doing this so I can install blinds that will not interfere with the crank handles. Either flush mount or nesting whichever has the thinnest profile. I have Simonton windows. Below is some number off the tags with tag dates. 757523/05 2/20/96 338376/03 9/01/94 338376/01 9/01/94

I also found some number on the back of the crank handle assembly 30615 and 30894.

The rectangle part measures 5.5" by 11/16"

Measurement between center bolt hole to center of bolt hole is 5"

Botton bolt hole is 2-3/4" in from edge and measures 1" down from top edge.

The one I removed is for a window that swings to the right when standing inside. I'll need 3 that swing to the right and 2 that swing to the left. Looking for the slimmest profile so it will not interfere with my blinds. Thanks for your help!

Hello. Thanks for posting. You should be able to use a fold down type handle like Folding Crank Handle, 39-205. The nesting type are used on operators with removable covers, unlike the ones you have pictured here.
