Replacing wool-pile in runners in which the panes slide

Home Owner from Illinois
I have triple hung, aluminum storm windows which use the wool pile in the runners that hold the 2 glass panes have wool pile. I can't determine how I can slide out the piling and (worse yet) to install the new piling. Any ideas? I do not see a spot where I can start the insertion.

Thanks for posting! It is very likely the existing wool pile was sealed into the frame. To remove it, you will need to make a small cutout at the edge of the channel holding the pile so that you can pull it out. Take a look at the video below for instructions on removing your wool pile weather stripping.
