Replacment Balance

A home owner from Illinois says:
What could I get to replace the window balance used in my 22 year old home. The balance is 28" long with FQB1 written on the side of the tube. The diameter of the tube is 1 centimeter and the hooks at the bottom are .5 inches apart. Sorry I did not take a picture of it installed in the window but if need I will get it.

Thanks,
Ken

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Ken. This looks like a fairly typical tilt window spiral balance. Considering your diameter, I would recommend the S900-28. Look it over and let me know if you had any questions.
