Request for Information - Replacement for 2 window balancers

A home owner from Sacramento, CA says:
Hello, can you please help me identify replacement balancers?

Relevant Information:
-Length is 14"
-Width is 1/2"
-Window is approximately 17 lbs
-One says 14B and the other says 14D. I believe it should be 14D due to the weight and that it was sized incorrectly by the previous homeowners.
-The shoe width is 1.25"

Thank you.

Thanks for contacting SWISCO. If both of these balances are from the same window, they should have the same stamp. If the window sash weighs 17 lbs, then 14D is definitely the better option. The original installers were probably short on materials and worked with what they have. Based on the information you've provided, give the S795-14 with a 14D Stamp Option a look. Compare with your old parts and see what you think.

A home owner from Sacramento, CA says:
Thanks for the prompt response. What are the differences among all of the various shoe options that I see? What is open vs closed cam? And what is the difference between a black puck and a white puck?

Thank you.

Greetings. The open cam is for different assembly configuration. Your old bottom T-Lock shoe has a closed cam, so you can use our standard 15-195 closed metal cam , the 1-1/4" wide T-Lock shoe that comes already assembled with S795-14.
