Require Channel Balances

A handy person from Las Vegas says:
I have 4 windows with this type of springs, only one spring is broke. I believe as long as I'm replacing the broken one I should replace them all.

Thanks for posting. Channel Balances tend to last 10-15 years. Certainly if one balance breaks in a window, it is smart to replace both. If all these balances were installed around the same time, it is certainly possible they are all at an elevated risk of breaking; it is up to your discretion whether or not to replace them all now!

If the metal channel is 37" long, not including the end attachments, then see either our S380-37 or S385-37. The only difference between these two Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.

Once you know which balance to select, you'll need to choose a stamp option. Your stamp code of 36 5 conforms to our stamp option of 3650, for is for a window sash in the weight range of 30 through 35 lbs. Let us know if you have any questions.

Bob thanks a lot for the help and I learned a lot. I put in a order and I'll pass the info to the other owners
