The part i am looking for is a plastic piece that holds the metal channel pice in place. It is the one on the left side of the window as you look at it from inside the house

Hello! The part in question is known as a "top sash guide." Yours in particular looks like our 18-166 at first glance, but I highly recommend looking over our dimensions and photos on its store page to confirm that they're the same.
