Retractable window screen latch is broken.

Quick Learner from Vancouver, WA
Hello,

As the title states I have retractable window screens that have latches to keep them closed while the window is open to prevent bugs coming in. I have two of these screens in my newly purchased house and cannot for the life of me find any replacement parts for them. I'd really rather replace these latches, definitely with something a bit tougher and don't want to have to just go with replacement screens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not carry a suitable replacement for the retractable screen latch in your photos. If you know who manufactured your doors, they may be able to point you in the right direction. Thanks for posting and good luck with your repair!

Hi,
I have the same issue.
Wondering if you found a place to get them?
Thanks

I also have the same problem. Has anyone reported finding a solution? I need the replacement latch that fits inside the aluminum extrusion.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unforutnately, we still do not carry the type of retractable screen latch shown in this thread. If you haven't already, I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly.

Do you know who the manufacturer is? These windows were before my time at my home so I have no record of that nor any idea of how to acquire these latches.

Unforutnately, we have no way of determining the manufacturer of your windows. I would recommend checking the sashes and window frame for any stickers that could help point you in the right direction or you could try reaching out to local mom and pop hardware shops that may be familiar with your hardware.

I have the same latch issues, the windows were manufactured by Claymore Homes. Does anyone know of a source?
