Ridged Garage Privacy Screen Spline

Handy Person from Palm Coast, FL
I just replaced a ripped screen on a garage door privacy screen door system. They use a hard (Plastic? Vinyl? PVC?) spline. Thankfully it came out relatively easy and I was able to reuse it and just snap it back in. But I know if I continue to make these types of repairs I will need to order some replacement splines. The vendor I ordered the privacy screen mesh did not have the spline and said to check if that with you if that something you can order?

Hey there,

It looks like you need a larger diameter screen spline. We have been successful with our foam screen spline. For your repair you might need our .250"59-250 or our .270", 59-270 spline.

Being that it is foam, you can install a slightly larger spline into the screen groove and it will expand to secure the cloth. I'm happy to provide you with a link for samples of the spline, please let me know and I'll get the link forwarded over to your email.

Be sure to take a look at the screen installation tools and video tutorials tagged below.
