This part is on a 50-year-old Pella window. It will roll one way but will not let me roll it back.

Thanks for reaching out! The issue you are experiencing with your operator is due to the worm gear in the operator having become stripped. When this happens, the entire mechanism needs to be replaced.

The operator pictured here can most likely replaced with the 39-032 EntryGard Dual Arm Operator but be sure to compare the dimensions.
