Roller replacement

Handy Person from Savage, Minnesota
I bought three sets of mirrored closet doors from Lowes a few years ago. The one set of doors screech when I open or close them. I thought it was the top rollers but it wasn't. Do you know what could be causing this. I tried oiling the bottom rollers.

I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to determine the exact cause of the screeching sound. It could be that the bearings on the wheel need to be oiled or they could possible be damaged.

Have you examined the roller and track to see if the assembly may be rubbing against it? Also, have you attempted adjusting the assembly using the screw in the center of the roller?

I'm not sure how long ago you purchased the closet doors but you may need to replace the rollers entirely. That said, our 23-225 Bottom Mount BB Roller Assembly may work better for you. This roller has a ball-bearing wheel, which can help to reduce friction.
