Rolscreen door latch

A home owner from Galena, Ohio says:
I can't see any way that the 'spring' on the plastic lock catch resists on anything to allow the catch nipple to raise up to engage the door frame latch.

When I reassemble the latch, the lock catch just lies loose with no tension.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
I would check to see if the spring or spring tab in the handle is broken or worn out. Maybe the spring is not forceful enough. Depending on what type of spring you have, maybe you can bend or stretch it a little to add tension.
