Roto Multi-Point Lock, 37MM Fork

The handle of the lock is loose while the window is closed and latched. How do I open may casement widow to replace the lock ?

This is always tricky. There is no simple solution, unfortunately. Your only option is to try to maybe manually throw the lock with a screwdriver, or in the worst case scenario, cut the old lock off.

I actually found a solution. After examining the mechanism on a similar window in the store, I found that the lock fork pushes a pin UP to lock the window. So I inserted a flat screw driver just above the fork by prying the window about 1 cm. Once the screw driver rested on the fork I hammered it DOWN gently and the window could be cranked open. I am now waiting for a replacement lock to be shipped to me to replace the lock that has a loose handle.
