Roto operators

I have some excellent vinyl casement windows that unfortunately have broken operators (Roto Casement Operator, 3-1/4" arm, Hex Spline, Right Hand and Left Hand)that are no longer manufactured or in stock anywhere in North america. Can one use similar operators and if necessary replace all hinge hardware without having to replace the entire window???
