S-1081-61 operator gears don't bite

Handy Person from Colorado

Greetings!

I have a number of Windows that need an assist to get the gears to bite. They don't look terribly stripped but this prevents the ability to operate the window without removing the screen. Please call me with questions and a recommendation on what I could replace. (cranks only would be nice since the arms are in good shape) thanks!!

Thanks for contacting us, and for your patience during our busy season. If the gears have stripped out, then you'll need all new operators. The only issue is, I'm not sure exactly what operator you have. It's similar in design to our 39-140 but the base is a little different and I'm not sure if it will fit under the sill trim the same way. Look it over and let me know your thoughts. If you don't think it will work we will do our best to find something better.

Hi
I have this same operator BF s-1081-61
Just wondering if the 39-140 fit as a replacement and also can you ship to North bay, Ontario, Canada.
Thanks bruce

I'm afraid the original customer never got back to us, and it doesn't appear that they ever placed an order. At this stage all I can tell you for sure is that we don't carry an exact match for the original operator, and I'm not optimistic that the 39-140 will work as a replacement without serious alterations to the sill and trim. Even then, it's not guaranteed.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience. We do ship to Ontario, for what it's worth. You can see our shipping policy here.
