S-1081-61 operator gears don't bite

A handy person from Colorado says:

Greetings!

I have a number of Windows that need an assist to get the gears to bite. They don't look terribly stripped but this prevents the ability to operate the window without removing the screen. Please call me with questions and a recommendation on what I could replace. (cranks only would be nice since the arms are in good shape) thanks!!

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for contacting us, and for your patience during our busy season. If the gears have stripped out, then you'll need all new operators. The only issue is, I'm not sure exactly what operator you have. It's similar in design to our 39-140 but the base is a little different and I'm not sure if it will fit under the sill trim the same way. Look it over and let me know your thoughts. If you don't think it will work we will do our best to find something better.
