S385-33 Balance Help

Question

When installing 8 (order total; all same type of the aforementioned), these 5 channel balances broke upon usage when installing in window. two broke at the top, much smaller pieces, the other three severely damaged the pulley system and snapped. Never had problem with Swisco parts before.

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Let's try to figure out what went wrong. The damage you describe sometimes happens when the replacement balances are not the correct size or strength. I see all balances you bought were 33" long and used the 3240 option. Is this identical to the balances they replaced? Also, are your take out clips or top sash guides broken?
