S390-24 Question Sash hardware

I went through your identification process and looks like I need:
24" Series 390 Channel Balance
S390-24
option: 2320
However when I measure the length of the balance it is exactly 23.5" I am not sure which to order.

Can you confirm you're only measuring the metal channel? Do not include the nylon attachments in your measurement. If you want, you can show us a few pictures of the balance (both ends) and we can make a recommendation.

See new pictures attached with channel laying in window edge. It sticks out from the end 1/2 inch when it is pushed in all the way to the top stop. When I try and match the bottom of the metal part of the channel to the bottom of the window, the channel has to slide up and forward and pushes out of the channel.
