S390-29

A quick learner from Arlington, MA says:

Hi,

I'm pretty sure I need two 2820 /S390-29 channel balances. It's a standard 29".

This old NUPRIME window is also missing a lock. Is that something you can provide? I included a photo of what remains of that. I see a NUPRIME window sweep lock (90-042) on your site. The screws on my old lock are 1-14". Is that the only important dimension?

If I replace the channel balances, will that keep the window sprung open unless I replace the lock? In other words, should I replace the lock first?

Thanks,

Stan

Hi Stan,

It looks like you have either our S351-29, with a 15-002 bottom attachment, or S390-29, with a 15-001 bottom attachment. Take a look at the image below to determine which balance you'll need. You'll also need a 2820 spring strength option for your replacement balances.

As for your sash lock, I agree that the 90-042 should work as aa replacement as long as your lock has the same 1-1/4" hole spacing. Thank you!

Looks like the S390-29. The base dimension is closer to 1-1/8.
I forgot, but, I also need two sash guides. Pics attached. I went through your list & 18-127 Seasonall seems closest. I have the original screws.

Do the dimensions of the 18-127 top sash guide match up to yours? If so, I agree that this looks like a suitable replacement option.
