S390-35 channel balancers option 3420

A home owner from Key West says:
I installed the balancers I ordered from you and they work much better. I would like a little more spring action, though. I have 8 more windows in my Florida room to repair. Should I order them with the 3430 spring option instead of the 3420?.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
It really depends on the weight of your sash. It is all too possible to have a balance that is too strong, so you want to avoid that. I recommend weighing your sash on a scale and then choosing the option that covers it. If it's too strong, the window will spring open on its own. If it's too weak, it'll droop down once you let go. Like Goldilocks' porridge, it has to be just right.
