S400-26 no tip color

Question

Need to replace balances on non-tilt GA aluminum sash, installed 2001.  4 windows.    I have no idea how much sash weighs and their not removable.  Any suggestions which color to order?  Thanks

I'm afraid there isn't a way to guarantee the proper spring calibration in these cases. What I do is disconnect the balances from the sash, place a scale on the sill (like a bathroom scale), and gently lower the sash onto it. It's not ideal but it's the best you can hope for, and in my experience it's usually approximate.
