S860-28 with only one cord

On a few of my vinyl replacement windows, the block and tackle channels appear identical to the series 860 with one exception: there is only one cord attached to the shoe, not 4 as pictured in your series 860???? Will this work? Thanks, Tom

It could be you have an older style Series 860 balance, or perhaps one made by different company. While the Series 860 appears to have four cords, it's actually just one cord wrapped around the pulley system.
