SASH BALANCE REPLACEMENT PARTS

A home owner from Longwood, FL says:
These are the pictures of my sash balance.

From my measurements, it appears that the 351 Sash Channel Balance is the correct size for my replacements based on the top and bottom guides measure your description.

The number 2830 is imprinted on the sash. Would it be ok to go up to a 2840?

In addition, we will also need the corresponding top cap that screws into the window.

I will also need to order 1730's (or 1740's) which I will send another parts requests as I could only attached 5 pictures.

attached is the Top Cap that screws into the window.

I will be ordering numerous (approx 30) sash channel balances and top caps and just want to be absolutely sure of measurements.

Thanks so much for your assistance.

Hello,

If your balance bottom attachment has the same 1" depth shown below, you would need to S351-29 with a 2830 option, as well as the S351-18 with a 1730 option. We do not recommend getting a higher spring strength option than needed since these are calibrated to support the weight of your sash and getting a stronger or weaker strength option can result in damage or the window not being properly supported.

As for your top sash guide, take a look and compare the dimensions of our 18-188 to your guide. Thank you!
