SGD-R20-14 8 or 3x95 Sliding Door Latch

My door handle latch does not lock, seems loose. Would I need a replacement lock latch?

Thanks for posting. Remove the handle set and then try manually 'throwing' the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, then you know the mortise lock is indeed broken and the cause of your issues. See our 82-218.
