SGD-R20 Roller Replacement

Quick Learner from Southern California
Hi there,
For the life of me I can't figure out how to replace the rollers on this door. There's a brush strip on either side of the inside where the wheel sits, and even when I unscrew the bottom screw, I can't pry the cartridge out because I can't see the sides of the cartridge. Is there a cartridge? Do I need to remove the brush strips first? How do you do that? Also, I don't see the wheels adjust up or down with the smaller (upper) inset screw. Could it be stripped or am I just not turning it enough? Ugh! This door!

Hello!

Thank you for contacting us. To access your roller, you will need to remove the lower screw at each end of the bottom rail. Then, using a mallet or a hammer and a block of wood, carefully tap off the bottom door rail. It's best to set the door on top of a wood table or a good set of sawhorses to help with the removal. When doing this, be careful not to damage the glass or the door.

We don't know what roller your door uses, however. We would need to see an undamaged and complete assembly removed from the door. In the meantime, you can have a look at the 81-005, 81-032B, and 81-298. Review the specifications for these parts and compare them with yours once the old roller is removed.
