SPIRAL TILT WINDOW BALANCE

The spring inside of my spiral tilt window balance broke. I measure the rod and it was 3/8in and rod was 28.5. Would that be 29 or 28in rod? Should I replace both of them.

Hello,

Take a look at our S900-29 spiral balance. I don't see a tip color on your balance tube, so I would recommend weighing your window sash and following the chart under the S900-29 product description to choose the correct tip color. Also, I would recommend replacing both balances in the window. Thank you!

Thank you, I will look into S900-29, what other parts are needed for a replacement.

I'm not sure what you mean since you only need to replace the hardware that is damaged. The only other part I would recommend to make installation easier would be our 75-006 changing tool for tilt window spiral balances.
