Safety latch?

Homeowner says we broke this latch. The "hook" broke off. The homeowner doesn't know what kind of window it is and no manufacturer sticker can be found.

Hello! This looks an awful lot like our 26-338. I think this would work well as a replacement, but look over our measurements and let me know if you agree.

This particular part is called a "sash stop," but I've also seen them called vent locks, vent latches, night locks, and everything in between.
