Sorry if this is a duplicate post. I had it finished and went to add pics and the post disappeared. Anyway, I have a sash 2260 sliding door control that stopped working. I'm pretty sure a spring broke inside the mortise lock. Naturally I'd prefer to replace the mortise but will replace the entire unit if necessary. The unit is brass and the door is white but I'm flexible about the finish.
im just hoping you can supply a direct replacement. The handle also has patent numbers cast into the inside and I can send you those if that helpful.
thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks for your post! Your patio handle set can be replaced with the 82-087 Legacy Keyed Handle Set. Like yours, it has an offset latch lever and the distance between the installation holes should be 3-15/16".
This set is also available in a few other finishes; part 82-086.
The internal lock is sold separately from the set. To replace yours, you'll need the 82-226 Mortise Lock. Be sure to double check the dimensions below to confirm that it is the right fit.
