Sash Balance Info

Home Owner from Humble, TX
This is a sash balance from a BFS (Builder's First Source) single hung non-tilt in window. From the inside of the house, this is the left side balance. It is 28" long, and 1/2" in width. It came out in pieces. Builders First Source will not sell me a balance, as they only deal in warranty, which makes no sense to me. The number stamped on the aluminum part of the sash is 27 4. Don't know if the space between the numbers is relevant. Should you need any more info, please contact. The below email is not case sensitive. Also, will need the aluminum piece that you pry out to remove the balance. It broke when I raised the window.

If there are no "wings" on the bottom shoe, then this is our S395-28 balance. It likely uses a 2740 "option," which is meant to hold a 19 to 26 pound window sash. Check your bottom shoe and weigh your window sash to be certain.
