Sash Balancer

Question

I'm looking for the correct sash balancer for vinyl windows in my house (all balancers are broken). The metal channel is 9/16" wide and 1/2" deep and 27" long. The terminal clip screws into the window jam/frame at the top. The stamp on the inside of the channel is DB 27D. The bottom of the balancer is a cog type which secures the balancer inside the window track. The sash weighs 26 lbs. Attached are several photos of the broken balancer.

Could you tell me what your part number is for a replacement balancer, please? Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out to us! The balance in your photos resembles our S795-27 with the 27D spring strength option. Look over the specifications and see if you agree.

Keep in mind that your old balance was, for whatever reason, installed backward. I'm not sure why the installers did this but many did at the time. Our S795-27 has the exposed spring side of the channel pressed against the jamb, not facing out toward the house.
