Sash Controls #2260

Question

My sliding door handle is Sash Controls Ferndale MI and the lever is loose, causing the latch to not properly lock the door. I do t know if I need to mortise or the door handle set? We have removed it and tightened it once bit it's loose again.

I'm not sure if you need the mortise or a new handle, either. One way to find out for sure is to remove the handle set from the door entirely and then try to manually activate the mortise with a screwdriver. Try that and get back to me. Let me know if the mortise lock is the problem after all. We can work from there.
