Sash Guide holes

A quick learner from Califoria says:
Attached sash guide is broken as seen in the image. The 1/2" Top Sash Guide Product Code: 18-036, appears to match my dimensions. However, as you can see bottom half of the old sash guide in the image is completely open, but your part 18-036 has smaller opening.

1 - Does it matter that old part(attached image) bottom half opening is larger than the part 18-036?
2 - If the screw hole (top half) does not line up, can I simply drill a new hole for the existing screw?

Thanks for posting. That lower hole actually isn't very crucial. The most important measurements you need to make are the depth, width, and installation hole location.
