Sash Lock

Question

Unscrewed this Sash Lock trying to remove it but it remains attached to window frame. I think the locking mechanism is still inserted into the keeper.
When I push the handle, there is no resistance. I cannot
open the window. How can I remove it?

Thanks for writing in. This lock might be the 90-323, it certainly looks similar. Please compare and let me know if anything differs.

If the old lock is stuck in a closed position, unfortunately your only option is to drill through the face of the lock to disengage the screws. A customer with the same issue describes what they ended up doing in this old post here. If you attempt this, take very great care not to hit the glass while drilling. If in doubt, hire a local pro for the task.
