Question

I'm having problems opening our sliding glass door.  Locksmith recommended that I replace locking mechanism.  I suspect locking mechanism and handles date from 1998 when house was built.  Rounded locking mechanism appears to be 6 inches long.  Don't have a key for door lock.  Not needed.

Hello there. The mortise lock looks like the 82-226. For the handle set, you have a number of options that should work, including the 82-020, 82-032, 82-033 and 82-030. Take a look and let me know if you have questions.
