Sash Stop

A home owner from Loveland, Colorado says:
What is the purpose of the Sash Stop 55-110? Do I need to replace them when I install the new Tension adjust channels?

Thanks for your question. The 55-110 is meant to prevent the sash from hitting the top of the frame. In other words its meant to keep the window from opening too far and potentially disconnecting the balance. However, it's only meant to be used in very specific windows. If your old sash is not identical to the 55-110, which it sounds like it may not based on your question, chances are this may not work for you. Since we do not offer a great deal of sash stops, it's highly possible we may not have the one you are looking for. Fortunately they aren't 100% necessary for windows to function. If you are really adamant on having a sash stop on your window, you can always remove one from an existing window and install it.

I hope this has answered your question.
