Sash Window Catch | What is replacement part number?

Quick Learner from Plymouth, MA
The lever on one of our sash window catches is sheared off. See one of the photos for a label from one of the windows which I believe identifies the brand (STILES)?

The other photo is of subject catch. We measured screw centres to be 2 1/16" apart.

I'm assuming a complete catch replacement is required?

Also, given the state of the screws, I would imagine it's going to be hard removing them. Recommendations?

If we can't remove/replace the keeper, will the new catch align well enough with the old keeper to work?

I would also be interested in knowing the replacement part number for the tilt catches as I do recall seeing one somewhere in the house that is broken,.

Hey there!

Take a look at the 90-278. This lock measures 2-1/16" on the installation hole centers but our backset is 11/16". You may want to double-check that just to be safe.

As for the screws, you can try and soak them in WD-40 overnight to see if that helps. If it can't be removed, your old keeper should be compatible with our lock.

We're happy to help with the tilt latches but we'll need to see photos of them to compare to our inventory.

Thank you for the information.

I have attached a photo of a tilt latch for ID purposes.

Thank you kindly! Start by taking a look at the 26-243 and 26-244. You'll want to remove an undamaged sample and compare the specifications to confirm they match up with ours.
