Sash balance

Question

I did not want to take them off unless I thought I could get new ones . They are on single hung vinyl windows and it is hard to raise and Lowe's the window past a certain point. It's stamped 26 4 ET CMC2

Thanks for posting! I am confident we can provide you with a replacement for the balances you need but I will need to see them removed from the window to identify the correct one. I am looking to see clear photos of the top and bottom nylon attachments on the balance as well as a photo of the center of the balance where the pulley and spring meet.

Once I have this information I'll be able to determine the replacement balances you need.
