Sash balance weight

Question

Hello - my chanel balance is stamped 26 5 BX CMC 1 and I believe the model is S380-27. Can you tell me which stamp option to choose?

Hi, Andy. I've got to admit, I'm feeling cautious. Series 380? Double-check that. Measure your bottom shoe as shown below. If you're correct about Series 380, it will measure 1". If it measures 1-3/32", then you actually have a Series 385.

As for the other details, you need a 27" balance, as you already determined, and your stamp is 2650. Caldwell's old "26 5" is SWISCO's new "2650."
