Sash pivot bars for DH window

Contractor from Boston
I didn't see any brand markings on the window, but I think this is the same or very similar window in this post: https://www.swisco.com/discussions/Broken-window-pivot-bar-77-97229

The bar measures as shown in the pictures. Thank you.

Hello, thank you for posting,

Unfortunately this old Harvey pivot bar has been discontinued for sometime now. The closest we carry is the 26-376 sash pivot, but it will need some modification by filing a hook at the tip to fit in the pivot shoe. Please review the overall specifications to see what you think! Please note that the pivot bar is no longer returnable if modified.

Thank you.. Would an angle grinder be a good tool to cut the notch?

Hello,

A small grinder, a Dremel tool or even a regular file might do the job. Take note put the part in a bench vise to secure it in place and wear safety goggles.

These worked for my Harvey windows. I did need to grind the sides smooth. They were just slightly too rough to slide into the window. I used 1/2" self tapping screws after drilling out the rivets.
