Sash weight range

A home owner from Foster City, CA says:
Do you have advice on how to choose the correct sash weight range? Our neighbors with identical windows used 2410 for the same windows so that's probably a good weight range for us to use. But I'm wondering if we go with the next weight range up, 2420, will that give the windows better support when open? (They open from the bottom.)
Thanks,
Shane

Tom from SWISCO responded:
The best way to choose the correct weight range is to simply weigh your sash. We have charts for each channel balance that show exactly how much weight each option can support. You don't want an option that's too strong or too weak. Like Goldilocks, it has to be just right.
