I need to replace a missing sash lock and keeper. I have another one in a second window that is like the missing one. I looked at the bottom of the sash lock, it lists the patent number of the lock, 215080. I have been trying to replace the missing lock and keeper but have not found one after visiting several hardware stores.
There are two issues that I am running into. The first is that the part of the window (the rail?) that the keeper sits on is at a slight angle in relation to the sash that holds the sash lock. The part of the upper sash closest to the pane is higher on the upper sash.
My second issue is that there is a grille. This grill gets in the way of most replacement sash keepers. The replacement keeper needs to have space in the middle to accommodate this grill.
Can you recommend a replacement?
