Hello, Arlene. I'm afraid I don't recognize this spline. Would it be possible to see a clear shot of the end profile? I will also need the precise size of the end profile. Can you also describe its exact function? Does it just hold a full screen insert in place, or does it hold the screen mesh itself to the frame? Lastly, would you happen to know who made the door?

A home owner from Chelan, Washington State says:

Hi Tom! I attached 3 photos. Size is 3/8". Holds mesh itself to screen insert. I've looked at door, don't see any brand name. The lock is Papaiz but nothing on door itself. Door is steel (not aluminum) construction, likely sold/installed in late 80's -early 90's. Pretty sure I can get locals to install??.once I supply correct spline. Any info and/or sourcing is greatly appreciated! Arlene

Thanks! This looks very similar to our 55-109. This is 13/32" wide, not 3/8", but that's only a hair off. Look it over and see what you think.

Tom, that looks to be the correct spline! I'll order from your Swisco website, correct? And 25' should be enough?I also saw an install tool: is this also needed, or is the tool common to any type of spline install? If yes, then local guys should have one. THANK YOU for helping me, customer service greatly appreciated! Arlene Abbott

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Great! Yes, you can place an order directly on our site at your convenience. As for whether 25' is enough, I can't say for sure. You need to measure the material you have now to get an idea of how much is required.

You will definitely need an installation tool, yes. We recommend the 75-019. You may find the video below to be helpful.
