Screen Lock replacement

Question

I bought a home w/ this for a handle and need a replacement so I can securely close the door from inside and out.  Our puppy is apparently smarter than the average bear and has learned how to open the screen door.

You know, I've been getting this kind of problem a lot lately. I think they're making pets smarter somehow.

As for what we can do about your screen door, we may be able to come up with something. The only issue is, I've never seen this type of handle before. Can you tell me the distance between the two screw holes, center-to-center? Would it also be possible to see a picture of it removed? I want to see if this is just a flat plate or if it has guts that go deeper into the door. Thanks!
