Screen Retainer

A quick learner says:
Hi,
The screen is 31x74 and 1/8th. The screen is 5/16th thick. I don't know what else you need. I hope this is enough.

Hello,

Could you confirm if this is from a storm door or window screen? That will help us confirm the best replacement option. Thank you!

A quick learner says:
Hi, it is from a storm door.

Thanks for getting back to us. The problem with these long retainer strips is that every different door company changes the style that they use almost every year. This makes it next to impossible to keep up. As such, we suggest considering something like our 70-180 storm door clip and drilling a hole for a 33-020 screw. This is how storm door companies did it once upon a time, and we still find it to be an effective and simple solution.

The 70-180 would need to be secured on the face of the door with a 33-020 screw. The end leg of the clip has a 1/2" reach and should press up against the screen or glass panel in the door holding it in place. I would suggest installing four or five on each side and maybe two at the top. Let me know if this makes sense to you.

A home owner from Wisconsin says:
I have Larson door with storm and screen. Both are secured by retainer strips which don't function or made any more. I need a clip to go into space strip would occupy and a screw receptacle which would be flat against the frame of the screen or storm. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello! I recommend reading the suggestion made by Casey, which you can read above. She makes a suggestion as to what products you can use to fulfill this exact purpose.
