Screen Spline Issues

I purchased
Product Code: 55-109 for our front screen storm door. It works great on most sides. There is one spot almost 5-6 " long where super glue was used prior and has clogged up the grooving. The purchased spline has no groove to hold it in place. The part where the spline will not go in is enough that the screen creates a gap. Any creative suggestions on what to use to hold the screen in other than the spline?
