The Spring pictured is made of BLACK plastic. It fits in slot in the window frame and keeps the edge of the screen pushed into the opposite side of the window. There are two springs per window.
I do not see the name of the manufacturer on the window. The Double-pane, Aluminum framed windows were made in the early 2000s.
