Screen corner latch

A quick learner from New York says:
I need to replace plastic corner latch that looks very much like your 95-236 but not a tilt key. The existing broken corner does not have a guide. Will 95-241 work? Can the guide be cut off? Thank you.

We have known in some cases where you can remove the guide off of the 95-241 screen corner. However, before we get into further details about that, we'd like to see detailed photos along with measurements of the screen corner you are currently using. Could you do that for us?

Looking at your corner, it appears that the leg dimensions are 3/16" x 3/16". I would suggest using the 95-236 to cut off the top tilt and pad. However, you may also want to look at the plain aluminum 95-176. I have used this corner in the past to replace 3/16" corners. Also take a look at the 95-002, which is a lock in type. Depending on the frame, these lock in corners are nice because they lock themselves into the frame without having to pin them in.
