Screen door adjustment screw

A quick learner says:
lost a screen door adjustment screw and I need a replacement. The screw looks like your 84-502 however my screws are 11/64 inch diameter by 1/2 inch long. The holes the screws go into look deep enough where 1 inch would work; the only question is the diameter. What do you think? Thanks!

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we would like to see a photo of the adjustment screw you now have to determine the best replacement option. Thank you!

Your type of screw with the "Fillister Head" reminds me of the type used with the 84-074 patio screen door roller. Unfortunately, we do not carry this type of screw. You would need to check with a hardware store in your area to have them match yours to the correct replacement.

A home owner from Calabash, NC says:
Installed 84-074 rolllers in deck screen doors. Old rollers very bad shape and had to use force to remove. Unfortunately did not observe which end of roller was installed toward center of door. Does it make a difference if the concave end of roller is installed toward the center of door or to end of door? I installed all rollers with concave end toward center of door. Now when bottom of door is closed all the way the top has ~ 1" gap. Either door is warped or rollers in wrong. Cannot adjust out.

The gap that you mentioned sounds like it may be an issue with the wheel adjustment. As for the placement of the wheel, it might be best to install the roller with the wheel toward the corner if you are able to. That would help balance the door with the wheels positioned further apart.
