Screen sash pins

A handy person from Green Bay, WI says:
I have a door as shown in attached pictures
I'm looking for replacement pins to hold the window sash in place. The ends of the pins broke so I can no longer have the window sash stay slightly open

Hello,

These storm doors aren't as popular as they once were, so the hardware can be hard to find. With that being said, we'd be happy to look into this for you but we will need to see the latch fully removed from the sash frame, along with written-out dimensions, to compare to our inventory. Thank you!

A handy person from Green Bay, WI says:
Do u have instructions on how to remove the pins? I dont see how they can even come out.

Sure, see our video below.

A handy person from Green Bay, WI says:
There is no hole to unlatch the pin. I see a hole where the spring is attached but the pin doesnt just slide out as shown in the video. Please advise.

You will need to remove the sash from the door to slide the latches out of the channel, otherwise, they will hit the door frame when you try to remove them.

A handy person from Green Bay, WI says:
I did that and they still hit some kind of stop thatvwont allow them to slide out

You should be able to follow one of the videos below depending on the type of sash that you have. I have seen latches with a similar design to yours in the past which, unfortunately, we have not been able to locate a suitable replacement for. We would still need to see yours removed from the sash, along with written-out dimensions, to confirm if we can supply a possible replacement.
