Screw Size Part 38-036

I just received the window latch, 38-036, and it fit the window perfectly, but the old fasteners from the old latch, do not fit the new part. Just wondering if you might know the screw size for the 38-036 window latch? Thanks, Joe

I have tried to buy new screws that fit the window latch, 38-036, from both Lowes and Home Depot, and neither store carries that size screw. Plus, as I stated previously, the screws from the old latch do not fit either.

Thank you for waiting during this busy season. Take a look at the 33-072 and 33-096 screws. Either of these should fit. Take note that it's best to thread the screw into the handle before you try to install it in the window. With the holes threaded in the handle, the screws should easily go into the window when installed.

Thanks very much for helping out with this issue. I went ahead and ordered two of the 33-072 and the 33-096 screws, and I plan to try the 33-072 first, since the 33-096 are self tapping and could affect the threads on the latch. Take care and enjoy your day. Joe
